OMAHA, Neb.- 88 Tactical Group is a business that is expanding into new territories by opening a new 300-person restaurant that will be open in December before the new year.
88 Tactical founded in 2016 by Shea Deagan is expanding its business with new shooting lanes, more retail space, greenspace, a pool with a swim-up bar, and a new state-of-the-arc gastropub-themed restaurant in a two-phase expansion. The first phase is currently underway and will be finished by the new year.
88 is more than just a gun range. 88 strives for a facility that has many different uses for everyone. The site offers self-defense courses that promote safety to all ages. Concealed carry classes are currently free until the end of the 2022 year. The site also offers repelling courses off of the repelling tower that is attached to the building.
88 is currently home to the Founder’s Club a members-only dining experience that is only accessed with a membership badge through an elevator. Members are given a fresh new experience with each time they visit the staff and Front of House Manager Andi Ertheron. Etherton has been with the Founder’s Club for four months and said she has enjoyed every moment.
“The Founder’s Club has been a whole new kind of dining experience and I am more than thankful to be able to be a part of it each day,” Etherton said.
Etherton explained the new restaurant to be able to seat up to 300 guests. The theme is Gastro-Pub which translates to a pub that serves high-quality food. The facility plans to roll out new menu items to test the waters with their guests and receive feedback if the new items should make it to the new and improved menu. A tour of the construction site proved the place to be near done. Retro lights hang from the ceiling and booth seating will be new to guests from their current seating options. The new restaurant will have a party room that holds up to 40 guests from the regular sections. A new 25-person bar will also be available for guests to sit at and enjoy cocktails. Bar food will be available after the kitchen has closed for the evening proving new for guests. A community bar height table will be near the bar for large parties and board games will be available for guests to use during their stay. A leather couch lounge will be added back to the restaurant like ‘old times.’
“There used to be a leather couch lounge in the Founder’s Club and guests were encouraged to sit back, relax and enjoy the wide array of seating options. It’ll be like old times,” Etherton said.
New entertainment options will be available for guests to enjoy including live music nights and a virtual golf room available upon reservation. Currently, the Founder’s Club has a music night once a month but with the new larger space there will be more opportunities for live appearances to be more often.
The new restaurant is currently in the hiring process to fill all of the new positions that will be needed for operations. Servers, bussers, hosts, food runners, and more jobs are waiting to be filled by new applicants.
“We are currently hiring almost all positions to bulk up our staff for the soft open in December. If you know anyone who is interested in making money send them my way,” Etherton said.
88 Tactical is excited to open the new addition as soon as possible. Once the first phase is complete, construction will begin almost immediately in phase two. Memberships are on the rise and so is the company with its expansion.
