Hello! My name is Kaciee Swierenga and I am currently a teacher candidate. My pronouns are she/her. I am enrolled at the University of Nebraska Omaha. My endorsement lies in English.

My definition of Literacy is: Being able to understand and comprehend a piece of text and be able to recall it correctly.

I have observed a 7th and 11th-grade classroom before giving me over 120+ classroom hours.

PRIOR PRACTICUM EXPERIENCES
7TH-GRADE PRACTICUM
ELA
During this practicum, I observed a class average of 24 students. This school followed a block structure so I got to observe only 2 class blocks for my assigned time.
11TH-GRADE PRACTICUM
ELA
During this practicum, I observed a class average of 28 students. I had the opportunity to teach a minimum of four lessons and was able to engage in classroom management.
